Position Overview:
The Natural Health Spa at Budock Vean Hotel is seeking a reliable, personable, and organised Spa Receptionist to join our team. As a Spa Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience at our spa. You will play a vital role in maintaining the spa's positive reputation and upholding the high standards of Budock Vean Hotel.

Responsibilities:
1. Greeting and Welcoming Guests: Welcome spa guests with a warm, friendly and professional demeanour, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable from the moment they step into the spa.
2. Appointment Scheduling: Efficiently manage spa bookings, both in-person, over the phone and via email, ensuring accuracy and organization in the appointment system.
3. Information and Assistance: Provide detailed information about spa services, packages, and promotions to help guests make informed decisions based on their preferences and needs.
4. Check-In and Check-Out: Handle client arrivals and departures in a timely manner, collecting necessary information and processing payments accurately.
5. Customer Service: Address guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback professionally and promptly, striving to exceed their expectations and ensuring their satisfaction.
6. Upselling and Retail: Promote additional services and retail products offered by the spa, enhancing the guest experience while contributing to revenue generation.
7. Spa Facility Management: Maintain a neat and organized spa reception area, ensuring it reflects the spa's ambiance and brand standards. Assist spa therapists with turn down of treatment rooms.
8. Collaborate with the Spa Team: Work closely with therapists and other spa staff to coordinate appointments and provide seamless service to guests and variability for therapists.
9. Record Keeping: Accurately record guest information, appointment details, and other essential data in the spa's system.
Requirements:
1. Experience: Prior experience in a similar role, preferably within a spa, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred.
2. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a friendly and approachable attitude.
3. Customer-Oriented: A passion for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring guests have a memorable and pleasant spa experience.
4. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, appointments, and administrative duties effectively.
5. Computer Proficiency: Familiarity with computer systems and software for appointment scheduling and basic administrative tasks. Experience with Premier Spa + is preferred.
6. Wellness Knowledge: Basic understanding of spa treatments, therapies, and products is a plus but not mandatory as training will be provided.
Working Hours and Compensation:
- Position: Spa Receptionist
- Employment Type: Part-time - Tues-Sunday Rota (4 days/24 hours a week)
- Working Hours: 8:45 am - 2:45 pm (Flexible)
- Salary: £10.42 per hour, to be increased to £10.90 per hour once successfully passed 3-month probationary period
- Retail Incentive Commission Scheme - Opportunity to earn 20% commission on product sales
